Since we use the National Healthcare Association as our testing vendor, they require all students to complete 30 venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks. During the class you will have the opportunity to stick our dummy arm’s as well as the volunteer’s you bring in. Yes, you do have to bring in volunteers. Now since Northeast Medical Institute offers other courses throughout the same time as the phlebotomy course, typically our cna students or ekg students step in to volunteer. If you have questions about this or are concerned about not being able to bring in anyone please contact us at 203-391-6766 to talk further.
